UDN Seeks Sponsors for Banner Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Funds raised to benefit Rochester legacy cancer foundation Pluta
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 3, 2025 – UDN General Construction, a Rochester-based commercial construction company, is still seeking a presenting sponsor and more for its 8th annual charity golf tournament on Oct. 6.
Open sponsorship opportunities range from $750 Hole Sponsors to a $5,500 ‘Ace’ [Presenting] Sponsor, with benefits including advertising on all social media, names on all flyers and event info, a foursome, and more.
Funds raised from the tournament every year directly benefit Pluta Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit that provides access to care for patients of Pluta Cancer Center in Henrietta.
“The amount of support we receive each year for this tournament has been nothing short of incredible,” said Nick Charvella, principal at UDN. “The way the community comes together for an organization that’s had such a strong impact in Rochester and has made such a positive difference in my personal life, for my family, is a special thing.”
In 2024, the tournament welcomed 144 participants and raised a notable $25,000 for Pluta, bringing the tournament’s total Pluta contributions to $110,000.
All proceeds given to Pluta Cancer Foundation help to fund individual cancer patients, as well as the development of integrative oncology services and knowledge-building of front-line caregivers, according to the organization’s website.

Pluta Cancer Foundation supports the care of patients of Pluta Cancer Center by providing access to the latest radiation therapy technology, chemotherapy treatment, and integrative oncology care. Established in 1975 at Genesee Hospital in Rochester, Pluta became New York State’s first independent nonprofit cancer center. In 2012, Pluta merged with Strong Memorial Hospital and the University of Rochester Medical Center, gaining access to the University’s
state-of-the-art research, new technology, and clinical research. The Foundation’s main mission is to ensure no patient faces their cancer journey alone.
